Hello!  My name is Sara Ramirez and I am a PK-12th Grade Science Lab Teacher at the Dallas ISD Environmental Education Center. I am an avid nature enthusiast and I love animals! I have a variety of adorable class pets that help to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm for science. These pets also help students develop empathy and respect for animals and the environment. I have 2 cute bunnies (Mochi & Clover), a Blue Silkie Chicken (Pepper), a Bearded Dragon (Spike), a Ball Python Snake (Basil), Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, Mealworms, and of course my indoor Redworm vermicompost. I hope you all join me to learn about indoor vermicomposting for your classroom and the many ways it can be incorporated into science content! Your students will love interacting with these wiggling worms and learn so much about their beneficial role in an ecosystem.
